*PRINCESS's Story...
This sweet girl came in on 5/19/12 as a stray. She is approx 1 year old.
She is currently in a foster home, this is what her foster mommy had to say: She was very scared when we first brought her home, she appears to have been abused. She has become more confident as the days go by. She is crate trained and uses the doggy door now. She is currently learning to sit and down with treats. She goes for walks everyday. She needs a family that is low pace and easy going, and they have to be patient.
Princess continues to improve. She can meet new people and although shy she allows them to touch her lightly. She sleeps through the night without complaining, or barking inside her cage. She climbs on my lap when I am sitting on the sofa. She is very loving. When I work, she will sit under my desk until I move from there. If she does something I don''t like I can tell her NO and she will stop right away and look at me for direction. She has been fine around other dogs. (Big or small) She will be a great addition to your family. All you need to do is give her time to adjust. It took me three days to touch her and a week to be close to her. But once she likes you, you are her best friend!

Another foster home: I had the honor of having Princess for a few days. She loves to ride in the car and sniff out the window. She was very scared at first, but that did not last long at my house. She fit right in my pack of 3 dogs. I set her up in a room so she would feel safe and comfortable, and we all crashed on the couch for movie night. With in five minutes she ran out and jumped on the couch and cuddled right up to me and my 2 year old daughter. I was very surprised by how fast she fit in. She would do well in a laid back, quiet home. She loves to be with her companion too. I rescued a dog with similiar issues and believe me it took 3 months for her to adjust to the family, and a full year till she was came completly out of her shell. It was worth the patience though, she is the best dog and she is wonderful with my daughter. Let your heart open to this amazing girl, you won''t regret it.

All animals are spayed and neutered, before they leave our shelter. Adoption fee is $78.00 for dogs and puppy's and $57.00 for cats and kittens.There is an additional fee for Norco residents for a dog license!
