Iggy's Story...
Our Iggy is a snuggler; there can be no doubt about it! He's a handsome, friendly, happy-go-lucky guy who will make himself comfortable on your lap or snuggle up against your chest as he drifts off to sleep, purring contentedly. Before he falls asleep, Iggy would love some chin scratches, belly rubs, and any other type of petting to help him doze off!

I hope you're not getting the wrong idea on Iggy...although he is a snuggler, he is no couch potato! Iggy loves to play with pretty much anything that he can bat around with bonus points added to toys he can carry around in his mouth! He's a big fan of swizzle wands and feather wands and is never happier than when he triumphantly catches and subdues the darn things! If you're on a budget, don't worry, Iggy is happy playing with regular old ink pens too! When playtime is over, it is not unusual for Iggy to wander off and find a cozy place to nap...he's a big believer in naptime!

He also loves breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack time, dinner, evening snack time...well, you get the idea. Iggy enjoys his meals, and hey, who doesn't?! He's also a fan of Pill Pockets treats...great news for whenever someone needs to slip him a pill!

This sweet and silly guy will do well in just about any type of home...a home where he's loved, can play, eat, and take lots of naps! He's just waiting for someone to discover him and fall in love. Don't make Iggy wait any longer...fill out an application for Iggy today - www.azrescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Iggy, a Phoenix Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
