Rosie's Story...
Rosie is a four month old parvo survivor.

She was found on the East side of Bakersfield with a foxtail embedded in her eye, once we got her eye healed, she broke with parvo.

She is completely healthy, and now up to date on shots.

She is pretty much housetrained, and will use a puppy pad if one is available.

She will be spayed, microchipped, and receive her rabies shot on Monday, she will be available for adoption then.

Her adoption fee is $60

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Bakersfield German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Bakersfield, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Bakersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bakersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bakersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bakersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
