My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This very cute little boy is Diezel! This poor fella found himself in a high kill shelter because his owner surrendered him and his sister Daffy there because she is having a baby. No animal deserves that chance for that or any reason! Diezel is only 4 years old. This is very young for this breed. Small breed dogs live much longer than large breed dogs do! Diezel only weighs 10 pounds so he is very small. He is wonderful with other dogs and she has lived with Daffy his whole life! We would really like to keep these two together. Daffy and Diezel are also good with kids as the owner stated before she dumped them off that they had been around them before and were just fine. These two are now with us in foster homes and are ready for their new homes. We would really like to keep this pair together because they are so bonded. Besides with the size they are what is one more? Diezel is all white with some tan patches and has a short coat.

Please email us only regarding the adoption of our canines. We are very sorry but we simply do not have time to return everyone's phone calls. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Please email courtneyvalent@hotmail.com to get an adoption application for me emailed to you. You will be so glad you did. Be sure to write DIEZEL in the subject line of the email. Thank you for checking me out. I will be waiting to hear that you emailed about me!!!

Why Adopt?

Adopting rather than shopping for your next pet will help to reduce the number of animals euthanized. Adopting a pet actually saves TWO LIVES as you free up space for another animal in need to find lasting love through the wonder of adoption.

You’ll get a pet who is spayed or neutered, vaccinated and healthy.
As opposed to purchasing or getting a “free to a good home” pet, you’ll welcome a fully-vetted companion animal in to your life.

Contrary to popular belief, the vast majority of shelter pets are homeless through no fault of their own. Divorce, financial constraints, time limitations and NOT the animal’s health &/or behavior are the most common reasons an animal is left homeless.

You’ll save money.
Many pets in the shelter system are already spayed or neutered and if not, shelters often receive a discount from their participating veterinarian and passes the savings on to the adoptive family. Also, adoption fees are much less expensive than buying from a breeder or pet store.
