Phoebe's Info...
| Breed: | Corgi/Labrador Retriever Mix | Color: | Tan/Yellow/Fawn | Age: | Adult |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Female |
I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Corgi - Lab mix
Around 5 years old, female-spayed, 35 lbs.
Very sweet, loving and friendly!
Loves going for walks (but not too keen on car rides)
Good with dogs that are not overwhelming to her (hyper, too playful, etc.)
Not tested with cats but will probably be fine
Good with children, but needs to be in a calm, quiet home with adults only
House-trained and crate-trained (but she is a very good girl and does not get into things or chew on anything but her toys and her bone!)
Knows “sit” and is learning “come” and “stay” and “down”
She’s very quiet – not a barker at all!
Requires medicated bath twice a week until her skin is healed from infection
She love to chase her laser light and is quite good at catching treats that are tossed to her
Phoebe has cushings disease, an inhlalant allergy-and epidermal dysplasia. She
will require certain medications and treatments the for the rest of her life. Phoebe
has come a long, long way since DUR rescued her. Once her condition was
identified and a proper treatment prescribed, she began her road to recovery
and is now a happy, playful girl. It is extremely important that her meds are given
to her as scheduled in order to ensure a speedy recovery!
Because of her cushings disease, she has lost patches of her hair, and caused her skin to become very thick and oily in certain areas. Her hair will grow back in time and her skin is beginning to heal. Despite her current ailments, Phoebe is one the happiest pups around! She loves following her foster parents around the house
with a smile and a bunny rabbit-like hop. She patiently waits for someone to sit
down, so she can snuggle up next to them and ask for a belly rub. She is an angel
and we pray that a loving family will welcome her into their home and giver her
the love she deserves. Despite having been severaly neglected, she has an
amazingly gentle spirit.

If you are interested in adopting, please take the first step and complete an Adoption Application located at http://www.dogsunlimitedrescue.org/Adopt.html
The submission of a completed Application is not a guarantee to adopting the pet and that all applications are processed thoroughly and if approved a home visit/”meet and greet” will be scheduled. If home check is approved and "meet and greet" with all pets involved goes well the Adoption Committee will decide final approval based on all applications received as to which one is the very best fit for the individual dog/cat.
Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are “furever” happy!
All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up?to?date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.

Rescue Group Info...
Dogs Unlimited Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to educating the public and saving abused and neglected animals from an uncertain fate. Our organization rescues animals from high kill shelters, abuse or neglect cases, owner surrenders, and the breeding parents in Ohio puppy mills that would otherwise be inhumanely disposed of. We improved their lives by providing quality care and placement into permanent loving homes. We will continue to educate, rescue, rehabilitate and encourage the adoption of pets from shelters and rescue groups.
Gina Lutes-Finley
Founder & Executive Director
Dogs Unlimited Rescue
Our rescue animals are fostered in approved homes. these homes and fosters are carefully chosen and qualified on a case by case basis. We conduct adoption events at Pet People in Woodmere and Hudson, OH as well as combine fundraisers with adoption events to promote Rescue efforts and recruit volunteers and donors.
Our adoption fees range from $50 to $300. Dogs Unlimited Rescue requires an adoption application to be filled out by the potential adopter, which requires 2 personal references and a vet reference. After the potential adopter is approved to adopt, the adopter is required to fill out an adoption agreement at the time of the adoption which clearly states all requirements and agreements between the adopter and DogsUnlimited Rescue.
(Please be advised we do not ship our dogs; we do not adopt our unaltered pups out-of-state; and we do not have a physical shelter - all our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes)
We serve the following counties: Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Summit, Stark, Loraine, Portage and Medina.
