Little Girl's Story...
Little Girl was born in approximately 2007 and is a Chihuahua mix that was left at the shelter. She is very sweet but fearful of men. She is shy and it takes a while for her to warm up to you. But once she does, she is a love and very affectionate. She is playful and loves to cuddle and sleep on your lap. She is good with other dogs once she gets to know them. Check out her video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7D0_etcLOg

Stop by and meet our pets on SATURDAYS from noon to 4pm at PetSmart 455 E. Cochran Street; Simi Valley, except holiday weekends. Please email (staff@arvsimi.org) ahead to make sure a particular pet will be at adoptions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Little Girl, a Simi Valley Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Simi Valley, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Simi Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Simi Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Simi Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Simi Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
