Serenade's Info...
| Breed: | Domestic Shorthair | Color: | Tiger Striped | Age: | Adult |
| Sex: | Female | Hair: | Short |
I am already spayed, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
Serenade is a classic tabby girl born with lateral eyelid agenesis- a congenital abnormality where the outer upper half of the eyelid doesn't form, and hence fur the the skin's edge rubs against the eyelids
She and her brother were found as 12 - 24 hour old orphaned newborns tangled together since birth in each-others umbilcal cords. They were brought to a veterinary hospital for help and taken in by their foster mother. Her brother ended up blind and 3-legged but despite his disabilities was adopted and where the descicated umbical cords were cut away and the kittens separatis doing great. Serenade's disabilities are less dramatic and she has remained unwanted.
Serenade is now about 3 years old. She has had the skin where her outer eyelids should have been frozen to kill off the fur rubbing on her eyes, which has improved her comfort a lot (decreased her squinting a lot - squinting in the pictures as she does not like cameras). Despite her disability, she can see normally - here eyes/eyelids just have an abnormal shape and appearance.
She has been viral tested, vaccinated, and spayed.
Serenade is a very sweet and affectionate girl. She loves attention and purrs happily when cuddled. She gets along well with other cats once she gets to know them and adapts to dogs`with a little time. She's a little shy with strangers and would probably do best in a relatively quiet home. Please help her find a good home soon!

Rescue Group Info...
Purrfect Pals is made up of a small number of caring volunteers. Most of the cats and kittens taken in are strays or orphans brought in to a local veterinary hospital for help and from there taken in to try to secure them a lasting and loved future.
We do not have a shelter - cats are in private foster homes. So, we try to see if we have a potential match or matches, then usually set up a meeting at the veterinary hospital where many of us work.
All cats and kittens are FeLV/FIV tested, started on vaccines, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adult cats are generally $60 and kittens are generally $70.
