Duncan's Story...
Hey there, my name is Duncan! The rescue thinks I am about 1 1/2 years old. I was originally rescued from a rural high kill shelter in Missouri when the nice folks at Hope 4 Fuzie Faniez took me in. I stayed with them for about 6 months, but no one was really interested in me. So now I moved to A Soft Place to Land hoping to find my forever home. I am a really sweet little boy. I weight about 30 pounds so I think I am the perfect size! I am a bit nervous when meeting new dogs, but warm up very quickly and love to play. My foster home has another young dog about my age and we play together very well. I LOVE to go on my daily walks with my foster parents and brother. I am not so sure of the car yet, it makes me a little nervous and I prefer to ride in a kennel for car rides. I am learning some basic commands and I would do well in a training class. My adoption fee is $250 and comes with a 6 week training course. If you would like to add me to your family please let the rescue know.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duncan, a Ft. Collins Beagle/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Labrador Retriever for sale in Ft. Collins, or seeking a Beagle/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Ft. Collins.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Collins already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Collins breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Beagle/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Collins paves the way for another one to be saved.
