My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sonny is a beautiful two year old purebred doxi who had a broken leg after being hit by a car and was never claimed by his owner. While at the animal hospital it was determined that Sonny has detached retinae and will eventually go blind. He has no idea he is a special needs boy - he loves everyone and frolics around like the rest of his foster friends (although he has made his way into the pool once or twice - well, three times). As of now his sight is limited but it doesn't stop him from being happy and playful. We are always amazed at the compassionate people who adopt special needs animals, especially dogs who are sight impaired, as they have a remarkable way of compensating with their remaining senses when they lose their sight. We have no doubt Sonny will find his forever home. Homeless Paws would continue to sponsor Sonny in a permanent foster situation, and we would assume his medical needs in exchange for a home where he can live a happy, healthy life being loved as he deserves. Sonny is neutered and UTD. If you would consider making a home for Sonny, please contact us
