Akita's Story...
Born approx June 2007. I am a spunky sweet girl with bright eyes, gray on snow white fur with touches of tan spots around my pretty eyes- and soft black stripes on my tail. My look is unique, like I am. I am very soft and clean, with minimal shedding. I look like I'm 1 year old because I'm on the small side. I was alone on the streets as a kitten, raised by an older stray cat who's already been adopted to a forever home. I learned from my foster family that I love light conversation and petting. I also love to sit in windows and watch the neighbors and bugs. I play a little, especially with ribbons or strings. I pretend that I'm not very brave, but I am actually fine with other dogs and kids. I always bond with one other cat specifically for cuddling, naps, and security. I've done that with 3 different cats at my foster home. I would be a perfect companion for a senior or nice adult cat. I'm not a lap cat and mostly do my own thing, but I'm super easy to take care of and just need a forever home. I recently started cuddling more. **She is happy in a home, but a little overwhelmed when she is at the adoptions. Call or email ARV if interested.**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Akita, a Simi Valley Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Simi Valley, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in Simi Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Simi Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Simi Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Simi Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
