Barook's Story...
Around 14 pounds and approximately 2 years old. Barook, which means "blessed" in Hebrew, is doubly lucky. We rescued him from a kill shelter, where he had been picked up as a stray without i.d. and never reclaimed. The next day, spooked by gun shots at a nearby firing range, he escaped and ran two miles onto a freeway with speeding traffic. A Good Samaritan on a return trip from McDonald's blocked traffic with her car and lured Barook to safety with her cheeseburger. This perfect dog is completely housebroken and totally trained. Knows his basic commands and walks easily onleash. Loves people, dogs and isn't the least bit aggressive to cats. Does well with children 10 and older. (Younger children untested.) Perfect for a calm or active home. We suspect Barook would be an excellent therapy dog. No inappropriate barking, digging or chewing. He will be thrice blessed when you adopt him, if you are so lucky yourself.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barook, a Sacramento Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
