My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WE ARE SORRY BUT WE ADOPT ONLY WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA

Max is downright majestic! A gentle giant, big and strong with a tender heart. He is very loving and melts your heart when he looks at you with his big blue eyes. He is mellow beyond his years and just doesn’t seem to have any issues.

Max was dropped off at Animal Control along with his littermate twin sister, Kaiyah. Being as friendly, charming and healthy as he is, one can only speculate that his former owners may have come upon hard times and just could no longer keep him and his sister.

He gets along fine with his fosters’ two dogs, being very playful but not destructive. Max does not need a crate (the vast majority of Huskies usually do not), preferring to sleep on the bedroom floor, near his humans. He goes to bed when they do and rises when they do. Max loves having a pet door, with a fenced in yard, so he can spend a lot of time outdoors and still come in to check on his humans every once in a while.

Max has a tendency to pull when walking on leash, he is a Husky after all, but once he adjusts to the pace he does well. Max is extremely strong and if he sees a squirrel or some other tasty morsel, be ready - it takes a strong arm to hold him back when he decides to go! Max is also being taught a few household manners; leave your brisket too close to the edge of the counter and Max will assume it is meant for him. His fosters are working on these issues and we expect him to settle down.

While we are not asking for Max and his sister be adopted together, as we have been known to do for dogs that have bonded for a substantial amount of time, if any adopter has room for two dogs, they can hardly go wrong giving both Max and Kaiyah a loving forever home. Think how content you will be with both of these youngsters curled up on each side of you.

Max is healthy, neutered, heartworm negative, housebroken, microchipped and up-to-date with all his shots. This gem of a boy will not last long so fill out an adoption application on our web site, WWW.SIBERRESCUE.COM, today.
