Pepper's Story...
Pepper is a wonderful boy we rescued from a shelter in Louisiana. He is a black and white Boston Terrier with a long tail and adorable floppy ears. He is very sweet and loves everybody. He's been described as a well-heaved gentleman. He sits on command as well as goes into his crate. He rides wonderfully in the car and does well on a leash He is just a tad protective of his food though we would not say aggressive. He's very excitable and wants very much to please.

Pepper is about 3 years old and weighs 21 lb. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines, but heartworm positive. We have started him on the slow-kill heartworm treatment that just involves giving him pills. We can explain this treatment in more detail if you are interested in adopting him. The heartworms should be gone in 13-18 months.

If you want to know more about Pepper, call his foster mom, Kate at 770-868-9985. To adopt Pepper, visit bostonrescueofsc.org and fill out the online application. We require personal and vet references, a phone interview and a home visit. Pepper's adoption fee is $275.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper, a North Augusta Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier for sale in North Augusta, or seeking a Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in North Augusta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Augusta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Augusta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Augusta paves the way for another one to be saved.
