Brat's Story...
Hi, my name is Brat - but I'm really not a brat at all! Just a typical playful kitten! You see, "Brat" means "brother" in Polish, and the youngster in my bilingual foster home kept calling me "Nene's brat" and it just kind of stuck! Nene, of course, is my sister, and it would be great if we could be adopted together. I'm a handsome gray tiger boy. I'm easy-going, love to relax and be petted, and boy can I purrrrrrr! I'm used to children, so if you have any we might just be the perfect match.

You can meet Brat at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week (847-251-6750). Although you may want to take him home, please know that you have to complete an application first.

Brat's date of birth is estimated to be 2/25/12, and his adoption fee of $115 includes: vet exam, FVRCP combo vaccination, felv/fiv test (negative), deworming, microchip and neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brat, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
