Thor's Story...
Thor is a goofy, happy one-year-old Great Dane who loves to get lots of attention and loves to play. Thor is already 125 lbs and will continue to grow - he's a wonderful dog with a lot of energy and a lot of love to give. Thor does great with children but still acts very much like a puppy so it’s probably best he doesn’t go to a home with toddlers because it’s likely they might get accidentally knocked over if he is excited. Thor does great with other dogs but he's very forward in his desire to play, so other dogs in his home will need to match his energy. Thor lives with cats but has been known to occasionally chase them if they run (but has never hurt them) so dog-savvy cats should be just fine with this sweet, playful boy. Thor is a wonderful dog who will make a very loving companion. He will need continued training... He is still a puppy, after all! He’s searching for a forever home that will continue to love him and build his confidence that he’s not going to be left or abandoned ever again. Is Thor your the silly, affectionate, adorable Velcro Dane that's missing in your life? Fill out and send in an adoption application today! Want to see more of Thor? Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thor, a Fort Collins Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Fort Collins, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Fort Collins.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Collins already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Collins breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Collins paves the way for another one to be saved.
