I am already spayed and up to date with shots.

Snowy's Story...
Snowy is an 8 year old spayed female Labrador Retriever mix. She is chocolate brown and aptly named due to the dusting of white on her face and muzzle. Though Snowy is showing some age she's still a spry and happy gal...she loves toys, fetch and most any activity that involves human companionship. Snowy does well in kennel and appears to be house trained. She is a bit timid and shy probably due to all the commontion from the other dogs but her sweet personality takes over whenever she's out for exercise with the volunteers. This gal would be a great partner for most adults and older children.

If you want to apply for this dog click here.
You can then email the application to the Meridian Animal Shelter.

Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged.
All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snowy, a Meridian Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
