Meet Charlie, one of the cutest dogs in our program! He is a young adult, probably 2 years old. We're not sure of his breed mix, but he looks like he may have some Lhasa Apso in him. He's taller than a Lhasa Apso though. We're calling him a Lhasa Apso mix as that's what he resembles though he's a bit taller. Charlie was rescued from a kill shelter in northern Missouri. One of our volunteers had gone to the shelter to pick up a couple of other dogs and just couldn't leave this little guy behind.

Charlie is as cute as can be and loves children. He loves to go for walks and will run and play with kids as long as you let him. He needs a home that will spend time with him and would do best in a home with an active person or family. He is accustomed to sleeping in a kennel at night and keeps his kennel clean. He will need some work with housetraining as he was at the shelter for awhile and was probably and outside dog prior to that. He was in rough shape when we rescued him and had to be shaved completely down because he was so matted.


Charlie's adoption fee includes neuter, vaccinations, and heartworm preventative. We send an adoption kit with each dog that includes a small bag of food, treats, a toy and vaccination information as well as a health certificate.

Please note that we do not place our animals on a first come, first served basis. We work to find the best homes possible for our babies. Please fill out an application for adoption ONLY if you are serious about adopting this dog and you can provide for any special needs it may have. Vet references are required.
