I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Oakley is a lovely 5 and 1/2year old female English Pointer who lost her home because her owner had to move into a situation that does not allow pets. She weighs about 45 lbs., she’s good natured, playful, quite accepting of cats, and likes to play with other dogs. She has not been around small children, but older children who would play with her would be great. And she’s neither a digger nor a chewer, which is always good news.
Oakley used to living in an indoor \ outdoor situation, and is very well housetrained. She curls peacefully into her bed at night and you don’t hear from her until morning. She is easily entertained – she loves to chase a thrown toy and will catch tennis balls one after another as long as you toss them to her. She loves a good walk, and would make a good running partner as well.
Oakley’s ideal home would have a fair sized yard with some trees so she could chase squirrels through the branches, and it should have a 6ft fence because she has been known to jump a 4 ft. fence and take herself out for a walk! She has been spayed and is up to date on shots and heartworm preventive. She just needs someone to love and play with for the next ten years of her life.

OOTW helps people who help animals. We primarily assist folks who take in stray or abandoned animals and offer them assistance with discounted veterinarian services and assist with placement in adoptive homes. We promote the spaying and neutering of all pets. For more information, go to our website, www.ootwrescue.org
We do not have a shelter. Our pets are being cared for in foster homes. We allow prospective adopters to meet the pet by appointment after we have approved the home to adopt and feel that we have a good match.
We ask that an adopton application be filled out and returned to help us make the best match possible for the rescued pet and for the adoptive home.
Our adoption fee is $150.00 We do add transportation costs which are paid by the adoptive home varying from $150.00-$200.00.
