About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small group of individuals who saw a desperate need for advocates of larger breed dogs. Smaller dogs are adopted faster and rescued more often. And just like that new hope is born. A new hope and beginning for big dogs in South Florida. Our hope is that this rescue, brings big hearts together to save more animals. We also have BIG HEARTS for Pit Bulls, a very misunderstood breed.

Our Adoption Process...
We have an adoption application where we check vet and personal references. We also perform a home visit before you adopt your next best friend. Then there is an adoption contact with an adoption fee. We offer continued support even after a dog is adopted. Have questions? Just call us! If a dog is not working out in a home for any reason what so ever, we gladly take him or her back. We want to make sure he or she finds the perfect home.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Big Hearts for Big Dogs is located in South Florida. We are foster based and are spread out from Miami to West Palm and Ft. Myers too! Transportation can be provided throughout South Florida regardless of where a dog is located.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Miami Border Collie/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Golden Retriever for sale in Miami, or seeking a Border Collie/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Miami.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Miami already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Miami breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Miami paves the way for another one to be saved.
