My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY LISTING. Please contact owner. These dogs are not at ODR, Inc. Owner is dog trainer and groomer, dogs have been shown. Please contact Becky England; 117 South Young Place, Kennewick, WA 99336; 509-783-3516 home, 509-378-1670 cell. =====
RUTHY-- Standard Longhair female, 12 yr old, spayed, retired champion in conformation and field and has earthdog title as well. So she really loves to hunt so the need for fencing. She is about 26# and is a sweet girl. Ruthy has a heart murmer and just got over treating her ears for bacterial infections and have to put med in them weekly to keep it under control. We walk 15-20 minutes a day and she still takes the lead. All three girls just had their rabies shots and fully wormed. All three girls are well housebroken and this is easy due to having a doggie door. They have their own favorite beds. Ruthy likes to carry around stuffed toys when she meets you. They all know basic commands and shake hands too. Of coarse with all the showing and hunting, they are crate trained and used to traveling. As a dog groomer, they all get bathed and groomed every 2 weeks. I can provide a kennel for each dog in their new home if needed. They are used to going in to a kennel to eat as you know, Dachshunds tend to over eat and will eat each others food. lol [The attached picture, Ruthy is on the right. Sun is bright so they look really gray too. Stella is in the middle and Pippin on the left.]
PIPPIN is 9 years old and is Ruthy's daughter. Pippin is pretty mild tempered too and loves to go for daily walks too. She is almost a champion and field champion but when my father was ill I didn't have time to finish her. She does have her earthdog title so really loves going in tunnels after the rats. lol She is a little bigger than her mother, 30# I believe. She has a lot of coat so I keep her body trimmed short with a few furnishings on her legs, chest, tail and ears. She loves to roll on her back and have her tummy rubbed. Pippin shakes hands too and has a few teeth pulled as well. The rest are showing some yellowing but not too bad. She has a sensitive stomach so some foods don't agree with her. She does well on Natural Balance. She likes to chew on knuckle bones. She can't have rawhide unless it is small type as she will swallow large pieces and have an upset system for a while. I think she might do okay around older children.
STELLA is 10 years old. She and Ruthy have the same parents but different litters. Stella is what I call a little needy. She is a little insecure so really likes to be close to me where ever I am. She has a lot of personality and acts like she is 5. She has her favorite stuffed toys she loves to carry around and bring to me when excited. She has a beautiful red coat and loves her walks too. I think she could get used to older children also. She has had a few teeth pulled also and no other know health issues. Again, loves to walk, travel, etc.
