Hi, I'm Derby! I have been waiting my whole life for a forever home. I don't know what one feels like sadly, and I desperately crave one. I was found with my sister Panther on Meadowbrook Lane in Middletown when we were 16 weeks old. I have come a long way since then! I am very friendly and love to talk to you! I will come running over to you for attention! I do need a very quiet home though since I can be nervous at times. You also cannot pick me up or handle me, so please don't try. I would need a vet to do home visits for me. Catales knows many vets that do this in the area, so they can give you the information. I barely have any teeth left and because I have always been around so many cats, I tend to get upper respiratory infections and severe sinus issues. I get along very well with other cats.I need to be adopted with my sister, Panther. I still have so much love to give and have not given up hope yet on finding a home. My paws are crossed that someone out there will find room in their heart for me. I will give you much love in return. Please adopt me!!

Our Adoption Process...

CAT TALES, Inc. helps homeless, abandoned cats find responsible and loving permanent homes. As Cat Tales does not take owner-surrendered cats, the cats we rescue have been abandoned, neglected or abused. While we generally trap, spay/neuter and release feral cats, occasionally we rescue ferals or semi-ferals from the colonies we help feed. Almost all of these animals have survived hunger and illness before entering the safety of CAT TALES.

We are looking for very special people who truly care about these animals, not as property but as friends who will become a part of their adoptive families. Our priority is to make sure that the cats will never again need to be rescued. In order to accomplish this goal, we ask all potential parents to fill out a detailed adoption application. Adoption from CAT TALES means that you will be asked to make a tax deductible adoption donation and to pay for spay/neuter if it has not been done before you adopt. We also ask that the adopter agrees to follow-up visits from someone at CAT TALES. We want to do everything possible to make sure that the animals we place find the best possible homes and safest futures once released from our care.
