Maddie's Story...
True to my Akita breed, I'm a dignified and independent lady. I walk, rather prance, quiet and gently in my harness and just love my daily walks. Like any proper lady, my beautiful coat requires some extra care, but that will give us a chance to bond, right? I will be very devoted to my new family and would do best as an only dog. Wont you come meet me? Id love to make your acquaintance! Very truly yours, Madame Beasley

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddie, a Hayward Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Hayward, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Hayward.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hayward already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hayward breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hayward paves the way for another one to be saved.
