**Monet is NOT a working livestock guardian dog.**

**Monet will need an experienced adopter.**

Monet is a darling Great Pyrenees with a personality that shines. A grin that will melt your heart, she knows exactly when to flash it to make you fall in love over and over again.
Although shy upon initially meeting people, she warms up fairly quickly - although in a new home she will need patience. She's been in rescue many years and requires some understanding. Monet has a happy heart that is easy to adore. She loves to lean on you and sit next to you while you rest, work, or watch television. She also likes to trot beside you when you're walking around the house or yard, just to say "I like being with you! This is fun!" She is a very intelligent girl and is house trained and crate trained. She loves toys and bones, and you'll often see her prancing around with one hanging out of her mouth or curled up with one between her paws. She thinks they're great!
Monet's vice is that she is a very dominant dog with other animals. While she has some female good buddies, it'd probably be best if she lived with a large/XL, calm, alpha canine male dog that will be able to handle her diva personality, as well as an experienced human parent that is comfortable introducing her into the household and to the dog - she would really enjoy a buddy, as she does love to play with other dogs who can handle her strong will. There should be no cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. in her forever home, for she will go after them.
Monet will need a securely fenced yard and to be on a leash at all times when not in the fenced area due to the breed's strong tendency to roam.
Monet will also need someone who can handle her should she become afraid. She is able to jerk out of someone's hands if not properly controlled and will bolt.
Monet is a true joy to have around, and she always makes you feel good. She is a wonderful girl that will brighten your day. She simply needs someone who is experienced with her animal dominance and her fears. If you'd like to meet her and find out for yourself, just let us know!
