Pete's Story...
Hello everyone they call me Pete the Pekingese. I was rescued by Animal Control from someone who wasn’t taking proper care of me and my friends. We were brought to the pound for a little while and they took really good care of us until we came to this rescue. I am now looking for a new home. They have estimated me to be about 2 and half years old. I am a boy and I am secluded to be fixed very soon. I am a very sweet boy and I love everyone I meet. Please consider giving me a home of my own.
To find out more information about this pup please email us at heathershouseofhounds@gmail.com. We will provide information about our process/paperwork and you can request an application there as well. Thank you and we look forward to helping you find your new fur-ever friend!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pete, a Hagerstown Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
