Heidi von Herzog's Story...
Heidi von Hanover is an enchanting 8 week old German Shepherd puppy. She was given to us by a breeder who is closing down because of his health issues. She is such a typical German Shepherd puppy and thought it was a total indignity to be in a crate for 7 minutes on her way to her foster home in the back of a station wagon so far from the arms of her foster mommy. At her foster home, she is loving being with the other dogs in the family, she is social and out going. It just isn’t possible to find a more adorable puppy. Neighbors came from all over to meet her when she was having her picture taken. Her donation is $500

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heidi von Herzog, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
