Zoey's Story...
Hi- I’m Zoey! I will be spayed and vaccinated prior to adoption. I tested negative for FeLv and have been treated for the prevention of ear mites, worms and fleas. I am housetrained/litterbox trained. I am very sweet, calm and kind. I will do best in a calm home with no small children. I get along well with other cats. To tell you a bit about myself, I was turned in to an OH kill shelter with my newborn (2 days old) babies- simply because my “owner” said they were tired of me having babies (they should have had me spayed!!!). I was very sad in the shelter and they told me they didn’t have room for a mom and babies…so our time was up very quickly. Thankgoondess the good people at A4A saved me and my family that day and took us to a wonderful A4A volunteer foster home. Phew! I enjoy snuggling on the couch with you and lounging in the windows too. I am a happy girl, friendly and loving. I am in search of a loving, forever home who will cherish me! I am only approx. 1-2 years young…I have so many good years ahead of me and I’m ready to share those years with a loving home to call my very own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a Xenia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
