TONKA's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

TONKA's Story...
Dumped at a kill shelter - Tonka a Purebred AKITA was hours away from being put down. He truly is a LUCKY DOG. Tonka is a dream!! No shyness, just fabulous, lovable, and goofy. He is young and would thrive with obedience training. He seems very playful and was jumping all around with toys. He is being professionally trained. He weighed in the vets office at 91 pounds - he will probably be closer to 95 when he fills out...Typical Big Boy 1 year old. He barked a few times at other dogs but never showed any aggression. He is just a beautiful dog that did not deserve to be dumped by his owners with an embedded collar! He is a big boy so probably a home with older children would be best. He has NOT been cat tested yet. All Tracking Lucky Dogs come with a free training session from Karin's Kanines. He is fully vetted neutered with all vaccines, heart worm tested and flea meds applied. Tonka' adoption fee is $250.00...and he is Micro-chipped! Please call Karin with any questions...

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TONKA, a Painesville Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Painesville, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Painesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Painesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Painesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Painesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
