Bella's Story...
Hi, my name is Bella and I'm a Sheltie mix. I was brought into the shelter by my previous owners because they were moving and couldn't take me with them. I'm about 5 years old. I'm house trained, up to date on shots, spayed, and have a microchip. I'm also good with other dogs, cats, and kids. I'm a shy girl and need some time to warm up to new people, but once I get to know you you'll see that I'm very sweet. Do you think you have room in your house and heart for a sweet girl like me? If you do, contact the people at the shelter and come visit me. The shelter is open on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 1-8 and Wednesday's and Friday's from 1-5.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Youngwood Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
