My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

With one baby and another due shortly, Polo's owners have made the difficult decision to rehome him. Polo is litter box trained and will occasionally also "go" outside in an enclosed yard. If his living space is small, his accidents are minimal or non-existant, but if there is alot of space i.e. a three-story townhouse, he will have more frequent accidents (if your home is spread-out, one solution would be to provide him with more than one litter box). When Polo needs to be left alone, he stays in an exercise-pen with a cushion, water, and his litter box. This guy is good with children, other dogs, and cats. However, since he tries to play with cats, and views their hissing at him as a sign that they REALLY want to play, a cat who wants to be left alone would not be the best companion for him. Polo's energy level is generally low when things are status quo, and increases if there is something new or exciting going on. He walks nicely on leash, travels well by car, and only barks at trash bags being shaken open or a ball, when thrown for him, bouncing off of a hard surface. Polo is loving, and totally enjoys cuddling on the couch with his people. He also loves being in a sunny spot, playing fetch, meeting new people and dogs, and going to doggy day camp. If not playing or snuggling with a person, he will cover himself with his blanket and relax. Polo also knows and responds to many cues such as sit, stay, come, go get it, leave it, and shake.
