My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Herbie! I'm a sweet young mellow fox terrier/Chihuahua mix. I was lost in Commerce and ended up at the shelter. Man was that place scary! I'm such a little guy. I was hoping I'd find a home there but with so many wonderful small dogs to choose from I didn't stand a chance. Which is shocking because I'm amazing with kids! And dogs and even those feline things. I love everyone. I'm housetrained too!
But I was still schedule to die in a cold shelter room - but then I got a reprieve! I caught the eyes of the ladies from Pugs N Roses and they saved me! Score. I went to the vet and got healthy and then I went to this amazing boarding facility. There I spend my days romping in the pool and my nights cuddling with a 7 year old human girl. I'm now in a foster home in Temecula with even more kids! So lucky - and I'm ready for my forever home. Is it with you?

Herbie is a pleasant two year old tan neutered male fox terrier/Chihuahua who was found in Commerce and brought to the Downey Animal Care Center on March 30th. Weighing ten pounds, Herbie walks very well on leash and is probably housebroken. Slightly timid, he warms up to people quickly, and is fine with other dogs his own size. Herbie craves being loved and will make a wonderful indoor companion for a senior citizen or an adult household in any living situation.
