Sunny's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sunny's Story...
Sunny – is a handsome blond boy under 2 years old and weighs approximately 60 lbs. He came from a high kill shelter where he found himself after being picked up as a stray and surprisingly no one came looking for him. Sunny gets along great with other dogs. He has a very laid back manner and strives to please. He is a great car passenger and walks easy on the leash. He is house trained and would be an all star with some guidance and training. Sunny likes being with his people and would be a great candidate for a hiking, running or swimming partner or just a great companion and buddy for any family. He is adjusting to his crate, but prefers to be out and about and can be trusted. Not sure how Sunny is with the kitties, but with his personality, we would be surprised if he were anything but good. Sunny is neutered, up to date on vaccinations including rabies, and micro-chipped. He is a truly awesome boy and if you think he might fit into your easygoing, but active lifestyle, please indicate Sunny in the notes section of the online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunny, a Salem Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
