My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear is a handsome 70 lb black lab mix, but he looks really more like an easy going fun-loving bear cub. Bear is not telling his age, but he is thought to be around 4 years old. He is a real laid back guy who is very social and gets along great with other dogs. He has an instant fan club wherever he goes. He likes to slyly place his head on your lap and then slowly crawl up and share some affection. If not on your lap, he likes to lie on your feet. This sweet boy is quite the cuddle buddy. However, if you are tired of cuddling, he gracefully accepts that he needs to entertain himself. Another activity that Bear really enjoys is chasing his furry foster lab sister in the backyard. This boy just loves life! He enjoys his toys and likes to “talk” to them. He also likes the kitties and will snuggle up to sleep with them. He is very smart and has quickly learned the routine at his foster home. He walks gently on the leash. He is also an excellent car companion. He knows sit, kennel up & shake, and he is quickly learning other commands. Bear also has excellent recall. He is crate and house trained. He really strives to please his people and loves his treats so he will be very easy to train to be a super star. While he has not been around children with his foster family, we have every reason to believe that he would do well. Bear is fully vetted, neutered, heartworm negative, micro-chipped and ready to find his forever home. If you are interested in bringing this sweet boy into your family, please indicate Bear in the notes section of the online application.
