SULLIVAN's Story...
You may meet and apply to adopt Sullivan at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, AUGUST 5th from 12 Noon - 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH. adoptpetmatch@gmail.com

Sullivan is a male Tibetan Terrier/Havanese mix approximately 1 1/2 years old. He is medium sized, weighing close to 20 pounds. Sullivan has been professionally groomed and as you can see, he is quite handsome. He has gorgeous silky soft wavy black and tan fur and incredibly beautiful coloring on his face and head. Sullivan loves gentle attention and will wiggle with happiness when he is getting some loving. He is a dignified boy who is a little reserved with people he doesn’t know. Once he gets to know you (which takes very little time), his true colors shine and he reveals himself to be a softie and a momma’s boy. Sullivan is young, good with other dogs, and cutely playful with a nice balanced energy level. His tail curls up over his back, which you can’t see in the pictures – he had it down for his photo session and he wasn’t putting it up! Sullivan is without question very intelligent and easily trainable. He is 100% housetrained and understands that the outdoors is his bathroom. He is learning how to walk on leash and although a bit hesitant at first, he trots right along with some encouragement. Having another dog around for Sullivan to model after would be a good thing since he is young and seems to have been severely neglected with little or no contact with the outside world. He is rapidly figuring it all out and it’s a joy to see him become happier and more outgoing each day. Sullivan is a kind-hearted dog and deserves to enjoy his life, and it’s a beautiful thing to be a part of his discovery process. He will no doubt make a very loyal and loving companion to his immediate family and forever home. This young dog is all heart and a sweet little diamond in the rough.

Sullivan's adoption donation is $350. He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Sullivan is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Pam & Allen and is ready for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SULLIVAN, a Newport Beach Tibetan Terrier/Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Tibetan Terrier/Havanese for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Tibetan Terrier/Havanese dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Tibetan Terrier/Havanese breeders who help with Tibetan Terrier/Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
