Lucy's Story...
Hi, there! I'm Lucy, a pretty, dark tabby with unusual markings. I am mostly black on my back and have pretty stripes on my legs and head with just a bit of white around my mouth and green eyes. This photo doesn't really show how striking I am. My mom is a gorgeous, medium-haired calico who has a very friendly personality and I am friendly and playful, too. I have already had two shots and will be given one more. I am ready to be spayed, combo tested, micro chipped and want to go home with you! My adoption donation (which includes all of the above) is just $125 or $200 if you adopt one of my friends with me. Please call (623) 587-9119 or (925) 209-6480 or email Diane@TARescue.com for more information on adopting me.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a foster based dog and cat non-profit animal rescue registered with IRS. Our goal is to save abandonned animals from unnecessary euthanazia, get them treated medically and adopted into the perfect furrever home - hopefully yours!
Come Meet Our Pets...
We are not currently holding adoption events, but may be holding some in the future. Please call or email and we will try to match you up with the perfect animal to add to your family.
Our Adoption Process...
We have a pre-adoption form to tell us about your lifestyle and to help us match the best pet to your particular household. You may fill out the form and be pre-approved at any time. We also do home checks to make sure your home is pet safe.

Adoption donations vary, but are generally $250 for small dogs and puppies, $200 for large dogs, $125 for kittens and $100 for adult cats. All dogs and cats have been checked by a vet and are normally fixed, current on shots, cats are combo tested, and all are micro chipped.

We have a two week return policy and will refund all of your adoption donation less $50 if the pet is not working out, altough that rarely happens as we work hard to make sure it is the right match for you before you adopt. We always, ALWAYS want the pet returned, even years later, if you cannot keep it for any reason.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a San Ramon Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in San Ramon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in San Ramon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Ramon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Ramon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Ramon paves the way for another one to be saved.
