Mallory's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Mallory's Story...
My previous owners underestimated me. They underestimated my will to live, my strength to love and my determination to be happy. Since they were through with me, they just dropped me off at the nearest high kill animal control with not as much as a kiss on the cheek. My new name is Mallory and I am a Schipperke/Chihuahua mix born approximately 1/06. I am current on shots, have been spayed and have tested positive for those nasty heartworm. CAAWS will pay for the treatment if you adopt me now. I just love human attention. I loved to be carried around, played with, talked to, slept with, etc. I wouldn’t mind other dogs my size, I tend to ignore cats, but small children and I are just two things that do not mix well. Sorry about that, but they tend to make me nervous and then I get nippy when I’m on my guard.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mallory, a Baton Rouge Schipperke/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schipperke/Chihuahua for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Schipperke/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schipperke/Chihuahua breeders who help with Schipperke/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
