SHELLY's Story...
SHELLY, AdoptFromFARR@yahoo.com is a Collie and Australian Shepherd mix, about 12 weeks old. Shelly is very gentle. She is learning to walk on a leash (doesn't pull) and is doing pretty well on housebreaking. She gets along with both cats and dogs. She is quiet, except when she is first left alone. She likes to be held and cuddled and likes lying on the cool tile. She is playful and likes following people. She has short, kinked tail and it's really cute when she wags it. She is fostered with Michelle in Lutz. If you are interested in adopting, please send an email to AdoptFromFARR@yahoo.com with the dogs name listed in the subject line. Please include your name and return contact info. FARR Florida Retriever Rescue is composed totally of volunteers working to save the lives of neglected and unwanted dogs. The $200 adoption fee helps to cover the first 2 shots, Dewormer, and neuter/spay fees, as well as any transport/pull fees FARR may have paid to shelter. All funds are used strictly for our rescues. You can also check out our other available rescue dogs and puppies currently fostered around the Tampa Bay area by visiting FARR Adopt-A-Pet or Facebook: FARR Florida All Retriever Rescue. Thank you for your interest in a rescue dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SHELLY, a Largo Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Largo, or seeking a Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Largo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Largo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Largo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Largo paves the way for another one to be saved.
