My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mini Boxer

GIBBY loves doing the 'Couch Potato Mombo' before his nap. He is still available for adoption. He is a very submissive, highly affectionate little man. Only approx. 40lbs. He has a slender build and is very playful. He gets along with most dogs and is best with equally submissive dogs of either sex. If you like lots of doggie kisses then he is th e one for you, no napkins needed, "the Gibster" will make sure your face is always clean. LOL
'the Gibster" was Heartworm Positive when he first came to rescue, he has been treated and has tested negative since February 2012.
He is house & crate trained, does great on the leash. Loves all squeaky toys and lot of belly rubs. if you have room in your heart & home for this sweet boy please email us for an application to rbynsnest@yahoo.com.

His Back Story:

GIBBY"Boxer Mix; 3yrs old. Well on our way one afternoon to take photos of Bob & Jayne, here came "Gibby" walking right down the middle of the road. Now here is the interesting thing about "Gibby", ya see one of the locals who knows me pulled in the driveway the day before with him in her car, says she just found him in the middle of the road, do I have room? I tell her no, we are full with a waiting list, she says she will take him home & foster him till I can find another foster, adopter etc. well, she comes back just a few hours later with great news, his owner has been found they are coming by to pick him up in the evening. SIGH, what a relief.... NOT!!!Less than 24hrs later, here comes "Gibby". Betcha the people came, realized it wasn't their dog, and the nice local decided just to drop him at the end of my street. As soon as I get a chance I will be paying her a visit.ABOUT "GIBBY"- So far he is a nice guy. He jumped right in the car, climbed in my lap, licked my face, tail wagging the whole time. He seemed very happy to be safe. He is missing hair in several places, looks like flea allergy, trust me I am becoming an expert on that one. He is very thin, so we are going to give him lots of vittles & de-worm him. A bath is in his future as well. He has the most amazing boxer type head, with a brilliant white blaze on his chest & his feet. He is very friendly with strangers. He doesn't like the small crate/kennel I had to put him in (sorry gibby all I had available). He is now sleeping on top of the dog house & I am sure is wondering WTH???
