Elvis's Story...
Hi! My name is Elvis and I am a six year old red and white male basset hound. I walk well on a leash and I am very well behaved in the car. I am very loving to my people but sometimes I can be a little jealous when my foster mommy and daddy pet my foster brother and sister, but I am working on this issue.

I would do best in a home with only females dogs, or where I'm the only dog.

I know how to use a doggie door and don't have any accidents in the house. I am up to date on my shots and have a microchip. I like my foster home, but I would love to have a forever home
.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elvis, a Phoenix Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
