Rocky - Courtesy Post's Story...
Rocky is a 2 year old male Terrier X (Pitt Bull x Boston Terrier??) who was rescued from a high kill animal shelter in Brooklyn, NY. He was admitted to the shelter as a stray dog and aced his behaviour evaluation, but when he contracted kennel cough (an easily curable cold) the shelter scheduled him to be euthanized. Feeling badly for young Rocky we rescued him from the shelter and flew him here to Vancouver, BC.

Rocky is eagerly waiting to find his forever home now that he is on Canadian soil. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and passed his health exam with flying colours. He's just a little guy, weighing in at 38 lbs and is sweet as honey. He walks extremely well on leash, thoroughly enjoys car rides, and lives to snuggle. Rocky's favourite past time is napping with you, nuzzled under your arm.

Rocky is house trained and is learning the routine of living in a house. He's starting to catch on quite well, but seems to still be in the puppy phase of his life. He will need someone who can continue his training to make him the best dog he can be. Rocky has had a very tough start to life and needs a home where he will be loved and cherished for the rest of his days.

If you would like to meet Rocky, please email Claire at,

**This is a courtesy posting so Rocky's adoption will not be not through The Penny Foundation.**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky - Courtesy Post, a Vancouver Boston Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Boston Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
