HARVEY's Story...
Meet Harvey... He is 2 years old and looks like a toy Boston terrier / Chi mix and weighs around 7 lbs. He recently made his first television appearance a few weeks ago on Channel 45 with Petco. He's a star!

Since Harvey came into PPR he has been updated on all his shots, tested heartworm and fecal negative, micro-chipped, and neutered.

Harvey came to Puppy Pals Rescue with his buddy, Dallas, from a home that had four dogs. The family was moving and they were only allowed to take two with them to their new apartment. They were sad; but, they decided to keep the two oldest dogs and trusted PPR to find these guys wonderful homes.

Harvey is a real sweetheart. You always get hugs and kisses! He's very outgoing and just loves giving and getting attention from humans. Over Memorial Day weekend, his foster mom took him on a long-trip - he was excellent in the car and he was a well behaved house guest. He loves going outside and enjoys the fresh air. He loves to doggie play around with a couple of pups 2 or 3 times his size. He's not a barker; however, will - only if one of the others starts first. He is small but, has a huge appetite - he loves to eat and enjoys a good dental bone to chew on regularly.

When it comes to bed time, he's not too excited about being caged; however, he will stay in one with a double-lock. Yes, he can open the door from the inside - shows you how smart he is! Harvey would rather jump in the bed with his foster parents and snuggle up to either one. He's happy being either above or below the blanket.

Harvey is working on potty-training. He would do best if he had someone home with him - he does seem to like routine on pottying. He's 90% there.

He's not been around children here at his foster home - but, he has a great disposition and I think he would do just fine. It would be best for the children to have had small dog experience. We are not sure about cats - but, I'm sure he'd be fine. A possible meet-n-greet would be a good time to decide how they'd get along... sometimes it just takes a few days for both to adjust.

If you are looking for a snuggle bug... he's your guy. His foster parents will miss him. He's a great little fella.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HARVEY, a Beavercreek Chihuahua/Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Boston Terrier for sale in Beavercreek, or seeking a Chihuahua/Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in Beavercreek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Beavercreek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Beavercreek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Boston Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Beavercreek paves the way for another one to be saved.
