Chauncey's Story...
Talk about an exciting start in life. Chauncey and his siblings were born in a backyard belonging to a Doberman. He managed to chase their mother off and was about to snack on them when the human who lived there swept the siblings to safety. They were placed in an empty paint bucket and brought to FFL at 2 days old. After the dedication of a foster bottle feeding them, this bunch is now ready to cross one thing off their ‘bucket list’ - finding furever homes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chauncey, a Houston Siamese kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Houston, or seeking a Siamese kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
