Brownie's Info...
| Breed: | Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Cattle Dog Mix | Color: | Brown/Chocolate | Age: | Adult |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Female | ID#: | 2747300 |
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. When age appropriate, they have been spay/neutered, crate, leash and house trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.
Brownie is a sweet girl despite a lack of attention. She has never lived anywhere but outside and has never had a home and family of her own. She is loving and smart. She learned to walk on a leash in a few minutes. She can be easily house trained and become a good mannered member of your family.
Brownie has the most unusual coat color. It is very difficult to describe but beautiful. Her pictures don't really show it. She will be a wonderful family dog!

The DHS organized in November 2008 to care for the unwanted and neglected animals of Northeastern Louisiana. We are funded only by donations. We ARE making a difference but we still have a LOT to do....

Rescue Group Info...
DHS promotes the compassionate treatment of all animals. In our area of Louisiana, there is no shelter, animal control or another animal welfare organization. We are their only advocates and we need YOUR help to make a difference.
As we have no shelter, all of our adoptable animals are housed with families. Please email help@thedeltahumanesociety.com to arrange a meet and greet..
Our adoption process has 3 steps. First we ask that you complete an application at http://www.thedeltahumanesociety.com/user/login?refererPageID=1359&keyID=1105&referer=/forms/form.phpQu8formid=1105Am1requirelogin=Yes
Once the application has been completed, we ask to do a brief, informal home visit. Once that has been completed, and you have been approved, you will be able to take the pet home for a sleepover that can last for up to 10 days. If you are satisfied that the pet is compatible with your family members, other pets and lifestyle, we will make the adoption final. Our adoption fees vary but the average is $250.00. The pet will have been spayed or neutered, have completed all of his vaccinations and be ready to go to your home. Finally, you must sign a contract that if, at any time during the life of the pet, your situation changes, it must be returned to us or we must give approval if you have a potential home. You can get more details on our web site.
