Isa's Story...
Ilsa (F; b. ~3/28/12) was one of five babies rescued from an abandoned house by a neighbor. Two pregnant momma cats had been locked in the house when the owners left, leaving them without food or water. Because the mommas were unable to care for the kittens, Little Orphans Kitten Rescue took them in and nursed them back to health.

Ilsa is the smallest of her litter, but is a really feisty little kitten! She loves to romp around the room with her litter-mates, but her favorite thing is food. She will growl and hiss and other kittens and dogs, but it's all hot wind (at least with the dogs, so far). But she loves her human-people and will show her family deep affection!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Isa, a Union Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Union, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Union.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union paves the way for another one to be saved.
