Dixie's Story...
My story: I was living in a very bad neighborhood where the kids would feed stray cats to the resident alligators. The lady who was feeding me outside had to move and was worried about my safety. St Francis took me in and promised her I would get a good home. I'm afraid of other cats but I love people a whole lot. I just want someone to love me and keep me safe and warm. May I please come live with you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Tampa Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
