friendly George's Story...
Friendly George!

He's such a cutie pie. He was kenneled with four other little dogs, all girls, and he gets along super well with all of them - now he's in a foster home with dogs and cats and also gets along with all of them! His foster mom says: "After a good night of sleep, all cozy in the covers, he woke up raring to go! He has a lot of energy and but when he comes in for some lovin', he just melts! As you can see in his photo, he's got a bit of a snaggle tooth, but that crooked smile just adds to his charm! "

He'd be a great little friend for a home with another dog! He'd probably be just fine as an only pet too, as he is 10 years old, so though he is playful and active, he has a mellow side too, ready to curl up in his bed or on your lap for a nap. George weighs just 9 pounds, he's a little guy. He is already neutered, so he can go home with your right away!

George was RESCUED from the East Valley shelter!
He is still for adoption in Southern California.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

friendly George, a Los Angeles Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
