My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am an extremely loyal, eager-to-please young guy looking for a happy, forever family. I can be shy when I first meet you or another dog, but once we warm up to each other, I'm about as loving as they come. And it helps that I'm just about the cutest little man you'll ever meet. I do love to play in the yard/park, at the beach, or to go on long walks with you. I'm a good walker on my leash, despite wanting to smell everything with my Beagle nose - so sometimes I can zig and zag, but I will walk nicely and I can walk as long as you can. I'm not as confident with going potty on my leash, but with some patience and distance, I can get comfortable. I'm not much of an escape artist at all as I prefer to be by your side.

I have no problem meeting other dogs. In fact, I can be submissive when I first meet other dogs, but around my foster sisters I’m not so shy. I just want to run and play and follow them and try to keep up. I have spurts of energy where I temporarily go crazy, but for the most part, I prefer to settle down by your side and sleep soundly. I do love meal times and I'm a very good eater, pretty indiscriminate. I get curious to check out what you're having for dinner, but I respect your space. I would counter surf, but I'm too small to reach anything - I'm only 13 inches tall and weigh less than 20 pounds. Oh, and not to brag, but I'm very intelligent, so I can understand what you tell me. I'm comfortable in my crate during the daytime, but would prefer to be out during the night. I may whimper or bark a little bit when you get home, but that's just my way of saying welcome back and telling you that I missed you.
