My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella came to us from a loving home when her owner passed away and the family were no longer able to care for her. She is a lovely little girl that would make a wonderful companion and family pet. She loves attention from anyone and is a friendly and happy girl. She is typical of why we love this breed so much. Bella is 6 years old and will do well in any family environment where she is loved.

Here is what her foster mom had to say about Bella:

This little lady is the most chilled out dog you ever met. She is so cool with just about any activity you choose to do....even just hang out. She is so happy and loyal to her family. She is great with kids and other animals. She just wants someone to pay attention to her. Our neighbor’s kids just love it when she is out so they can play with her.

Bella has never been aggressive in any way to anyone. If something is happening that she does not like, she will just walk away and lay in her bed.
She has never given up the opportunity to have someone pay attention to her. She is not shy to anyone or anything.

When Bells meets a dog on a walk or outside, she will give a friendly bark to introduce herself but then carry on her walk.

She has never spent time in the crate at our house. There has not been any reason to keep her crated. The longest time she has spent alone would be a few hours while the kids are at school. Someone always comes home at lunch to play with her. Bella is fine however when you leave the house and she is on her own and is happy when you return.

Bella's favorite thing to do is to do whatever you are doing. She will follow us around the house and is quite content as long as she is treated like one of the family. Of course she is a great cuddler and always loves to sit and be petted.

I would consider Bella to have a moderate amount of energy. She does like to chase a ball and is playful but is just as happy to have a snack and go for a nap. She likes going for walks and is friendly and loving with everyone we meet. She is great on leash and follows along nicely beside you.

Bells does not shed in the least. In fact her fur is so soft that she feels like velvet. (She has been groomed and will require some grooming throughout the year to keep her looking her best) Her coat is beautiful. Her is ears are very waxy. With a daily wipe they will stay clear. She is fine when she needs to have this done.

Bella is an expert at telling us that she that she needs to go to the bathroom. She has never had an accident in the house. Everything seems to run smoothly with her stools and eliminating.
Bella has graduated from Hamilton Dog Obedience school. She is very smart and knows many commands. She will sit, lie down, come, stay, give a paw, and roll over (for a treat). She is an excellent passenger and enjoys going for car rides. She will look out the window or just lie down and nap till you get to your destination.

Bella is interested in many foods. If food is left out, she will try to get it by any means possible. However she will not grab food out of your hand or mouth. She will ask patiently for you to share.
Bella is a wonderful pet for any family or would be a great companion for a person living on their own. She is very low maintenance and very lovable.

If you think Bella would be a good addition to your family, please go to Ugly Mutts website at http://uglymutts.com and submit an application for consideration.
