Ruff Ruff! My name is Kisses
|Breed:||Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua Mix||Color:||Black - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn||Age:||Adult|
|Size:||Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less||Sex:||Female|
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Hi, I'm Kisses, and during a recent storm, Ginger and I got out and ran and ran until we saw a nice house with the porch light on...we figured it was even better than Motel 6 (you know, we'll leave a light on for you?? lol), so we went onto the front porch and waited for someone to notice us. Fortunately, the dogs that were to become our foster brothers and sisters heard us and barked until the lady opened the door and took us in. We were so glad to be out of the rain and to be safe from the wind and the storm.... and the scary things on the street. Ginger and I are very bonded, and while we would love to be together, we know that won't likely happen.
We are great with kids and other dogs and will definitely not do well in an apartment, or as only children. Please, think about keeping us together..?? But if you fall in love with either of us, please fill out an application soon!! Ginger is about 20 lbs and I am just a little squirt at 12 lbs.,, so we are both petite girls! We need homes where the people consider doggies a permanent family member, and who won't let us get lost again! In return, we promise to keep you in laughter and in tears of joy... and to be your friends for life!! Thank you for reading our story!!
A note from Kisses' Foster Mom....
Ginger was adopted last year by a great family. Kisses has had a chance to grow up (she's officially 17 pounds)and learn how to be social and well-behaved. She's a big fan of kids who are gentle, cats who are dog savvy, and fellow canines who understand she's in charge.

Rescue Group Info...
Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."
We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.
All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: dogs-$175, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
