Skeeder's Story...
adoption fee $195/includes speuter, micro-chip, all yr;y vax, parasite-free, current on monthly heart worm and flea/tick prevention, health certificate(issued with 1 week of transport), Martindale collar and delivered to your door/Saturdays.
date of birth: March 18 2012...Exceptionally sweet, gentle, and a very loving and devoted demeanor. Plays gently. Will make great companion for a quiet person/couple with lots of love to share. Gets along well with other dogs, cats and all adults. Walks well on-leash.
This pup was rescued from a 'high-kill' Animal Control facility in Laurens Co, SC
Thank you, for considering a rescued companion animal.
Most of the pups we have available for adoption are in foster care, in Rutherfordton, NC. All adoption fees includes speuter, micro-chip, all 4 puppy boosters, Bordatella and Rabies vax, parasite-free and current on monthly heart worm and flea/tick prevention, will have a new Martindale collar, current health certificate(issued within 7 days prior to transport)& transport to your door(we use a bonded commercial pet transport service-Animals On Board).
Where there is a hound breed, or houndX, being considered for adoption, & in homes where children reside or will be visiting, a secured fenced-in yard is required.
All potential adopters are required to be at least 23 yrs or older, and send H4S CARes your completed application(provided below) as a pdf attachment to:
Upon receipt of your application, we will acknowledge your app in an email and immediately send out a questionaire to your 3 personal references and contact your vet's office.
Please, contact and ask your personal references to reply at their most earliest convenience, to help us process your application in a timely manner and which will allow
you to get the pup of your choice.
PLEASE, be sure to ask your refs to check in their SPAM folders, if they do not see an email from, immediately.
Also, please give your vet's office permission to release your information to us. We will be contacting them within 2 business days.
We will be back in contact with you, as soon as we have heard back from your 3 personal references.
Upon approval of this adoption, & to hold the dog/pup of your choice, H4S requires the entire adoption fee sent to our secure PayPal acct at:
Upon receipt of the adoption fee, we will respond by sending you H4S's adoption contract and all pertinent information you will need to be ready for your pup's
arrival and will make reservation for your new family member's transport to your door on the first Saturday available.
IF, for any reason, the adoption does not work out, the dog must be returned to H4S.
OR, IF you feel that you have found a better match for the dog, H4S MUST approve the transfer of the dog BEFORE the dog is allowed to be re-homed.
This way, you are covered and the future of the adopted dog/pup is never in question.
Over the past 10 years, my rescue work has allowed the local public an alternative to Rutherford County's only animal facility, a 'high-kill'(3Xs week) Animal Control,
run by the Sheriff's Dept and inmates from a local minimum-security prison.
I also take in pets folks give up, or litters of unwanted puppies-where I get the mama dog spayed, in return.
I can't MAKE the owner agree to it but am most successful, especially when I quote them the local statistics at the Pound and how speutering them allows for a calmer demeanor, and less incidence of cancer and bad behavior=running off/higher incidents of dog fights/getting hit by a car.
Upon arrival at H4S, our vet evaluates them, vaccinate and de-worm all rescues. IF the rescue is an adult, we test for heart worms. If they test heart worm positive, we treat them and then get them into a calm environment for their 6-wk quarantine. then get them through a quarantine period of 2>3 weeks, then speuter and microchip, then another 2 week quarantine before placing them up for adoption.
No one is ever placed up for adoption until they are healthy and ready to find and go on to their very own furever family/home.
ALL potential adopters must be 23yo and send us their completed adoption application(provided below) to:
Upon receipt of your completed application, I will email you to let you know I have received it, will review it and will email a questionaire to your 3 personal refs and call your vet's office. PLEASE, be sure to ask your 3 refs to reply at their earliest convenience, so that there is no delay in approving your app for the pup of your choice.
Also, you will need to give your vet's office permission to release your pet's medical records to Howlin4Spirit.
When we have all the info we require to be sure that you and Joni are a good match, we will contact you by phone to solidify the adoption.
To speak with me directly, call 828-245-8256, between 6 and 8:30pm...during the daytime I'm am always outside cleaning kennels, doing the washing, repairing fences, or hiking in the woods with the dogs, etc but do check my msgs at least 2Xs/day...OR, leave msg and I will call you as soon as I get it.
Keno and I look forward to hearing back from you.

**Howlin4Spirit Companion Animal Rescue**
**Adoption Application**
We realize, in a logical perspective, that we are not going to be able to broadly change the World.
But, we know we can be an advocate of change.
We know that we can't rescue every animal in need, but little by little, we can help one animal at a time.
We know we CAN make a difference!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skeeder, a Rocky Hill Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Rocky Hill, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Rocky Hill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rocky Hill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rocky Hill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rocky Hill paves the way for another one to be saved.
