Grethel's Story...
Hello my name is Grethel. I am so excited to find my forever home! My last owners gave me away when I got a case of manage. Luckily when they took me to the vet to be put down my guardian angel, a vet technician, stopped them and took me home. She started giving me treatment and I am on my way to recovery! I currently live with my foster mom and her big German shepherd dog. My foster mom says that I am the sweetest girl she has ever met. She was so happy to see how well mannered I am and in fact she let me have free range of the house from day one. I would never misbehave in the house or on walks. My foster mom calls me the trifecta since I am good with children, dogs and cats. What can I say I am just happy to be here and I want to give all my love to the right family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grethel, a Houston German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
